📍 Position Details

We are currently looking for a freelance Navajo language tutor for one of our clients in Canberra (AUS - AEST)

Course Type: Online

Format: one-to-one

Total Hours: 10 (ten)

Session length: one hour (sixty minutes)

Location: by Zoom video-conference

Student: 65 y/o gentleman

Current language Level: Elementary

Schedule: once per week, either on Sunday at 8 AM, Saturday at 8 AM or Wednesday at 12 noon (Austarlian Easter Standar Time - flexible)

Start Date: as soon as possible

Student's Motivation: love of Native American cultures; interest in WWII code talkers; challenging my brain to learn new skills. I love the complexity and novel features of Diné Bizaad and want to extend my ability to learn.

🎯 Ideal Candidate

Be a native Navajo speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification

Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter

Feel comfortable teaching online

Have your own device and access to a quiet space and reliable, fast internet connection

💼 Conditions

The schedule may be flexible based on availability

Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Freelance position, with part-time hours
