Payroll Administrator

Salary: R29 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is looking for a Payroll Administrator to work from home in South Africa for a UK employer. Payroll is the one thing that has to be right every single month, and this role is for someone who takes that seriously and enjoys the detail.

Full-time and 100% remote, working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).

Key responsibilities

Process monthly and weekly payroll runs accurately and on schedule

Maintain employee records, starters, leavers and changes to pay

Calculate overtime, statutory payments, deductions and expenses

Answer payroll queries from employees clearly and discreetly

Reconcile payroll reports and support year-end processes

Keep records in line with data protection requirements

What you will need

Experience with payroll processing in a business or bureau environment

Familiarity with payroll software such as Sage, Xero, BrightPay or similar

Confident spreadsheet skills and strong numerical accuracy

Discretion with confidential information

A quiet home workspace, reliable computer and stable fibre internet
