What you’ll do

Make system design and technical solution decisions based on sound judgement, scalability, and long-term maintainability

Run data audits and proactively identify data integrity issues, supporting corrective action

Build and maintain clear documentation, process guides, and knowledge base content that help users self-serve

Partner with People Operations and Functional Specialists so system changes reflect operational needs

Run and maintain standard reports, and support more complex analysis when needed

Follow data privacy, security, and compliance standards when working with employee data and access

Escalate risks and decisions appropriately

What you’ll bring

Typically 2-4 years of hands-on experience in People Technology, HR systems, or a closely related role, with backend configuration responsibility (not data entry or transactional administration)

Direct experience with two or more Workday areas, such as HCM, EIB processing, Security, Reporting/Calculated Fields, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Help, Payroll, Benefits, Integrations, Recruiting or Performance

Working knowledge of Workday configuration tools, such as business process definitions, condition rules, calculated fields, domain policies, and related tasks

Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort investigating issues you've never seen before

Sound judgement in making design decisions with imperfect information, and the ability to explain your reasoning

Solid understanding of HR processes and how Workday enables them

Experience executing and testing changes in a governed environment

Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving and data quality

Comfort working with data in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, validation, and basic analysis

Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A continuous improvement mindset focused on reducing manual effort and repeat issues

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical system configuration experience
