What the posting says

Our Mission

Our mission is to SAVE AND IMPROVE LIVES BY EMPOWERING HEALTHCARE CONSUMERS. Come be part of remarkable.

Overview

We are CONNECTING HEALTH AND WEALTH. Come be part of remarkable.

How you can make a difference

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to build the platform behind HealthEquity Marketplace, a managed affiliate platform designed to help our members get more health and healthcare per dollar through our affiliated partner brands.

You will build and evolve the components that make Marketplace personalized, automated, and highly converting. This role builds the personalization and ranking systems that decide what each member sees, the configuration tools that let us compose unique offerings and assortments, and the automation that lets us place, rotate, and launch offers at speed. The primary outcomes are conversion lift, repeat purchase, and configuration velocity.

This is a 0-to-1-to-scale opportunity that sits within the Product organization.

What you will be doing

Assortment and Offering Platform

Build and scale the affiliate platform to increase offering throughput and speed to market

Build and operate the configuration layer that automates management of inventory, placement, rotations, product detail pages, product listing pages, and partner links

Build the product data pipeline & front-end application that allows merchandising team to manage offerings, prices, and partners changes

Replace manual merchandising work with rules, templates, and automated validation so changes ship in hours, not weeks

Build connections to enterprise tools/services such as DAM, CDP, analytics tools, experimentation platforms, and personalization engines

Make the platform self-serve so non-technical functions can ship changes themselves

Own launch speed and operational load as success metrics

Personalization Engine

Own the real-time platform that decides what each member sees and how well it converts

Build the personalization and ranking system across search, recommendations, and category pages, working with analytics, data science and data engineering on the models behind it

Turn member context (segment, eligibility, balance activity, health context, etc) into powerful inputs

Own metrics including (1) attach rate, (2) repeat transaction per member, (3) personalization-attributable conversion lift, measured against a holdout

Run a high-frequency experimentation roadmap across ranking, placement, and offer logic

Roadmap & Operating Model Ownership

Define the roadmap and run the operating model for the Marketplace platform

Define the Platform & Personalization OKRs, with clear prioritization on roadmap & GTM

Establish product processes and working rhythms across Product, Engineering, Design, and the merchandising and growth teams you serve

Set measurement and instrumentation standards across personalization, assortment, and placement

Work cross-functionally with privacy, compliance, marketing, data engineering, and merchandising teams to remove blockers and accelerate delivery

Keep the platform fast while holding quality, data accuracy, and accountability as Marketplace scales

What you will need to be successful

8+ years of product management experience with significant depth in personalization, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, or marketplaces

Fluency partnering with data science on ranking and recommendation models:

you engage credibly with senior engineers and data scientists on tradeoffs, evaluation, and experiment design, without building the models yourself

Experience in merchandising, affiliate, or catalog platforms, such as product information management or product feed automation

Comfort in regulated environments where compliance requirements shape what can be shown and how

Have driven 30% or more of your throughput via AI enabled tools and development processes

Preferred Qualifications

HSA / FSA familiarity a plus

Working knowledge of HIPAA, PHI and related healthcare data privacy controls
