THE ROLE

The Procurement Specialist/Manager is responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement and vendor management lifecycle across the organization. This role partners closely with Business Operations, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to support contract negotiations (including NDAs and MSAs), identify and onboard qualified third-party vendors, partners, and sub-CROs, and ensure effective sourcing, contracting, governance, and performance management across the organization.”

The individual will serve as a primary internal point of escalation for vendor-related matters, supporting issue resolution, relationship management, and structured governance to ensure alignment with operational, commercial, and compliance objectives.

This role is home-based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Contracting & Commercial Support

Support the negotiation, execution, and maintenance of Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and related contractual documents in collaboration with the Business Operations, Legal, as well as the Operations teams.

Ensure commercial terms, scope, and obligations are clearly defined and aligned with internal operational and financial requirements.

Maintain contract trackers and documentation to ensure visibility, version control, and compliance.

Vendor Identification & Selection

Identify, evaluate, and recommend third-party vendors, strategic partners, and sub-CROs based on study, geographic, operational and/or corporate needs.

Coordinate vendor due diligence, capability assessments, and qualification processes.

Support vendor onboarding activities, including documentation, compliance checks (to work with QA team), and internal alignment.

Vendor Relationship & Performance Management

Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external vendors to maintain productive, long-term partnerships.

Serve as the internal escalation point for significant vendor-related issues encountered by operational teams, coordinating cross-functional resolution as needed.

Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, and service expectations, and support corrective action planning where required.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate and support quarterly vendor governance meetings, including agenda preparation, performance reviews, issue tracking, and follow-up actions.

Ensure structured communication and documentation of decisions, risks, and action items.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and vendor management processes.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

2–5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or commercial operations, preferably within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environment.

Hands-on experience supporting contract negotiations (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, SOWs).

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regions and functions.
