What the posting says
Interview Copilot AI builds a privacy-first desktop assistant that helps candidates perform at their best in live job interviews. The native macOS and Windows product provides clear, résumé-aware guidance in real time while working alongside the meeting tools candidates already use.
What you’ll own
You will own the end-to-end product design of focused desktop workflows that must feel clear under pressure. You will shape overlays, onboarding, live guidance, and the design system that connects the experience.
Key responsibilities
• Design desktop workflows for live interviews, overlays, onboarding, and conversation-aware guidance.
• Turn user problems into flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interaction design.
• Build and evolve a practical design system for consistent, accessible experiences.
• Plan and conduct lightweight user research, then translate findings into product decisions.
• Partner closely with engineering from early exploration through shipped details.
• Improve information hierarchy, empty states, errors, education, and trust throughout the product.
Required skills
• Experience designing and shipping digital products.
• Strong interaction, visual, and information-design fundamentals.
• Confidence prototyping and explaining design decisions.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and incorporate feedback.
• Clear communication and comfort working independently in a remote environment.
Nice to have
• Desktop application or productivity-tool design.
• Overlays, real-time interfaces, or onboarding systems.
• Design systems and accessibility.
• User research for AI-enabled or privacy-sensitive products.
Remote working
This is a full-time, fully remote role. Applicants are welcome from anywhere in the world. You should be comfortable documenting decisions, sharing work asynchronously, and collaborating through focused remote conversations.
Hiring process
The hiring process is conducted remotely through video interviews, including conversations about your portfolio, process, and approach to a relevant product-design challenge.
