Product Leadership at Nu

At Nubank, we want to deliver the best possible products to our customers. This aspiration guides our product, engineering, and design decisions from the moment we conceive of an idea to the first version of a product we put in a user’s hands to the endless iterations we make after that. Product development at Nubank is fundamentally about impact, and this is where we start when we evaluate new ideas. We want to have meaningful, long-term value for our customers by providing products that are truly empowering and life-improving. Or, as one of our company values says: “We want our customers to love us fanatically.”

We're always looking for exceptional product leaders to reinvent the future of financial services. We do not look for opportunities that are small or use cases where good solutions already exist. We look for big problems that cause people (and companies) enormous amounts of frustration and pain. One of our other company values emphasizes this point: “We are hungry and challenge the status quo.” In financial services, this boldness often means targeting the complexity that is endemic to financial products.

What you'd be taking on

Product leaders at Nubank are in the intersection of massive scale and insurgent mindset. Nubank products have massive scale across the globe, reaching more than 135 million people across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. It means our product leaders operate at a level of complexity that is hard to find anywhere else. Furthermore, the road ahead is incredibly more complex and exciting than what we have achieved so far, as we expand into new countries, business lines and customers' lives. As a product leader, you own the vision, the strategy, the trade-offs, the launch, and the numbers afterward. You're a fit first and foremost if you're fanatical about our customers and you want to challenge the status quo.

You should apply if

You set the vision, not just the roadmap. You can define where a business unit or building block is going two-plus years out, and defend it with customer insight, business logic and technical depth in equal measure.

You've built the teams that build the products. You've grown and coached multiple product teams — not one — and you've hired and levelled up product managers who went on to do the same. That track record tells us more than a number of years ever could.

You have genuine product approach. You stay close to the data, the customer and the market.

You build with AI. You've used AI to change how your teams discover, prototype and ship — and you have a clear, practical view of where it belongs in the product itself and where it doesn't.

You're hands-on at a senior level. Our most senior product people still get into the details of the product and the market.

Our recruitment process may involve the use of artificial intelligence–enabled tools, such as automated interview transcription and analysis, to support the evaluation process. Artificial intelligence is not used to make final hiring decisions; all decisions are made by human reviewers.
