About the role and team:

Iterable is building the next generation of customer engagement, one where AI doesn’t just assist, it acts. Our platform is evolving into an AI-native system powered by Nova, enabling teams to translate goals into intelligent, real-time customer experiences across every channel. Over time, marketers won't just work inside Iterable. They will orchestrate campaigns directly through their preferred AI tools, whether that’s ChatGPT, Claude, an in-house agent, or a CLI.

As Product Manager for External AI Tools, you will define how Nova shows up in external AI tools. You will work directly with a dedicated engineering team based in Lisbon building the connectors, packaging, and experiences that make Nova usable wherever marketers work. In this role, you'll report to the Senior Director of Product, Nova.

In this role, you'll get to:

Own the external surfaces. Prioritize which external tools and surfaces we build for, and define how Nova's capabilities are exposed to and consumed by external AI.

Own MCP Apps and tool-specific capabilities. Build the connectors, protocols, and packaging that make Nova usable from external environments

Decide how we deliver the best experience in each third-party tool, and partner with design on UX.

Partner closely with your engineering team to launch impactful projects, and with the Agent Platform team on the architecture your surfaces run on

Research industry trends across the agentic ecosystem to identify new surfaces and opportunities

Engage with customers regularly (e.g. user testing, discovery, research, roadmap sharing) to understand how they work in their own AI tools

Create adoption plans and measure ongoing engagement with the surfaces you ship

We are looking for people who have:

Experience working on a SaaS product (B2B, B2B2C)

Deep customer empathy

Hands-on experience building AI products, especially for enterprise customers

Technical understanding of agent architectures, APIs, and protocols (e.g. MCP), and the ability to partner deeply with engineering on connectors, auth, and integration work

Sound product judgment on when to standardize versus diverge across surfaces and personas

Thrive on solving complex technical problems and partnering cross-functionally to translate stakeholder needs into product architecture

Strong analytical skills, and the ability to leverage data, research, and market analysis to inform product decisions and strategy

Experience working with agile engineering teams and tools like Jira

Collaborative team player, comfortable partnering with a distributed team across time zones

The base salary range for this position in Lisbon, Portugal, is €49,000 – €61,000 per year (gross). This range is provided in anticipation of the requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970), which EU member states are implementing into national law, and reflects the expected compensation at the start of employment for this role. The final offer will be determined by your experience, qualifications, and performance throughout the selection process, while ensuring alignment with our internal equity principles.
