The Manufacturing Production team is responsible for wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Production Test Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in Santa Ana, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting functional and acceptance testing on electronic assemblies, subsystems, and finished products to ensure they meet performance specifications and quality standards. If you are a highly motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a detail-oriented self-starter able to work with minimal oversight, then this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Execute functional, acceptance, and environmental stress screening (ESS) tests on electronic assemblies, subsystems, and finished products per approved procedures

Set up and operate test stations, fixtures, and automated test equipment (ATE), using instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems

Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and document pass/fail results per quality and configuration management requirements

Troubleshoot and isolate failures to the component, board, or subsystem level, coordinating with engineering on root cause analysis and corrective action

Read and interpret test procedures, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to ensure correct test configurations

Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks

Maintain accurate test logs, defect records, and traceability documentation

Support development of new test procedures, fixtures, and process improvements, and ensure test equipment is calibrated per schedule

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in production, functional, or acceptance testing of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, or integrated systems

Proficiency with common test instruments (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal/function generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers) and ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures

Experience documenting test results, generating reports, and maintaining traceability records

Strong troubleshooting skills, able to isolate failures to the component or subsystem level

Basic electrical understanding (Ohm's Law, voltage drop, signal integrity, power measurements) and familiarity with common connectors (Molex, Amphenol, TE Connectivity, Hirose)

Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or test automation frameworks

Knowledge of ESD-safe handling practices

Meticulous attention to detail in executing tests, recording data, and documenting findings

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or higher in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or related field

Experience with LabVIEW, Python, or other test automation/scripting tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git)

Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal cycling, vibration, humidity) and ESS procedures

Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 acceptability standards; hand soldering per J-STD-001 and/or rework experience

Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Aviation, defense, or aerospace production testing experience

Experience with data analysis or statistical process control (SPC) for test yield monitoring

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires the flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, and extended hours during peak periods as needed.

Able to stand for long periods, climb ladders, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as needed

Able to travel 50% of the time with short notice

US Hourly Range

Specialist/Level 1: $32 - $43/hour

Specialist/Level 2: $37 - $49/hour

Specialist/Level 3: $41 - $54/hour

Your job level will be tailored to your individual qualifications, including your job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
