What the posting says

Teamwork makes the stream work.

Roku is changing how the world watches TV

Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.

From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.

About the role

We’re looking for a Program Manager, Sales & Retail Operations to lead the cross-functional programs that keep Roku’s Player and Retail businesses running and scaling. This is not a single-project role — you will own a portfolio of related workstreams spanning sales planning and forecasting, retail and customer onboarding, operational systems, and international market expansion, and you will be accountable for how they come together end to end.

You’ll set the roadmap, run the operating cadence, surface dependencies and risks before they become problems, and keep Sales, Retail Strategy, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and regional teams aligned on what’s shipping and when. We expect this role to use AI as a standard part of the job—to accelerate analysis, draft and maintain documentation, and automate manual steps in our planning and onboarding workflows. This role is ideal for a builder who is comfortable with ambiguity, translates messy operational problems into repeatable processes, and can move an executive audience to a decision with a clear, well-supported recommendation.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $139,900 - $169,800 annually. Compensation packages vary by candidate and depend on factors such as skill set, certifications, and specific geographic location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

How will I use AI at Roku?

At Roku, we don't just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability.

We value curious, adaptable builders who can show how they've used AI, agents, or automation to move faster, improve quality, and scale their impact. Strong candidates can frame problems, guide AI-assisted work, validate output, and learn quickly. Above all, they bring curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment.

What you'll be doing

Program Leadership & Governance: Own a portfolio of sales and retail operations programs from intake through launch and benefits realization. Build the roadmap, define milestones and success measures, run the recurring governance cadence, and maintain a single source of truth for status, decisions, and open risks.

Customer & Retailer Onboarding: Lead end-to-end onboarding of new retailers, distributors, and channel partners—account and item setup, EDI and data feeds, forecasting and replenishment rhythms, and operational readiness. Turn each launch into a documented, repeatable playbook rather than a one-off effort.

Forecasting & Planning Process Ownership: Manage the operating cadence behind demand forecasting, sales planning, and allocation. Partner with Sales Operations and Retail Strategy to tighten inputs, timelines, and hand-offs, and drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and planning cycle time.

International Program Management: Drive programs supporting Roku’s international Player and Retail businesses, adapting processes and systems to regional requirements across partners, logistics, compliance, and reporting. Serve as the connective tissue between regional teams and headquarters functions.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Dependency Management: Identify dependencies and trade-offs across Sales, Retail Strategy, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and IT. Drive decisions to closure, escalate with a recommendation when needed, and hold cross-functional owners accountable to committed dates.

Process Improvement, AI & Systems Enablement: Map current-state processes, find the bottlenecks, and lead the redesign. Identify where AI and automation can remove manual effort — forecast and data preparation, partner onboarding documentation, exception handling, recurring reporting — and build the business case. Gather and prioritize requirements for planning and operations tooling, partner with IT and analytics on implementation, and manage testing, training, documentation, and change adoption.

Reporting & Executive Communication: Build the reporting that tells leadership what is actually happening — program health, KPIs, risks, and impact. Use AI tools to compress the time from raw operational data to a clear narrative, while owning the accuracy of every number and recommendation that goes out.

We're excited if you have

5+ years of experience in program or project management, sales operations, retail or channel operations, or a comparable operational role — including hands-on ownership of cross-functional programs end to end.

Experience in consumer electronics, retail, or another high-volume physical-goods business is a strong plus; exposure to international or multi-region operations is highly valued.

Demonstrated ability to build roadmaps, manage dependencies and critical paths, and run a disciplined governance and status cadence.

Fluency with program management tooling (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Confluence) and a practical, right-sized approach to process — enough structure to create clarity, not enough to create drag.

Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling) and experience with sales planning tools such as Anaplan.

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce.

Hands-on, daily use of AI assistants (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in real work — analyzing data sets, drafting and maintaining program documentation, summarizing partner and stakeholder inputs, and accelerating recurring reporting.

Demonstrated ability to identify where AI and automation can remove manual effort from an operational workflow, scope the opportunity, and see it through to adoption and measurable time or accuracy savings.

Comfort writing effective prompts and building reusable AI workflows for a team — not just personal productivity, but repeatable processes others can run.

Sound judgment about where AI belongs and where it doesn't: you validate AI-generated output before it reaches a partner or an executive, and you understand the data-handling and confidentiality expectations that come with using these tools on business data.

Exposure to AI-enabled planning, forecasting, or operations tooling — or experience partnering with data science and analytics teams on forecasting and anomaly detection — is a strong plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a data-driven mindset, and a bias toward action.

Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to brief senior leaders clearly and concisely.

Proven ability to manage competing priorities, operate through ambiguity, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

A curiosity-driven approach to new tools and technology — you actively look for better ways to work, adopt AI and automation early, and bring the rest of the team along with you.

Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority—influence stakeholders, drive alignment, and hold partners to commitments.

A collaborative mindset, comfort working across time zones and cultures, and a track record of building trusted relationships with internal and external partners.

PMP, Agile/Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus, not a requirement.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

What should I know about Roku's culture?

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
