Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing to support mission-critical enterprise applications that deliver essential services to Alpha's external clients. The selected candidates will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, solution architects, project managers, and technical teams to ensure applications meet business requirements, technical specifications, State policies, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Implement Automated tests in C# with Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress.
Develop and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks for API and Web applications.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage, release efficiency, and production system health.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and gaps in system behavior
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in a related field, along with at least 2 years’ of post-grad professional experience as a QA (Automation) Engineer.
Strong acumen with Playwright and Selenium
Experience navigating QA testing in a fully remote environment
Proficiency with Git based source control
Ability to perform both manual and automated testing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

This position may require infrequent though unlikely travel (to client sites).
Team members must be able to accommodate a working schedule of 8:30am - 5:30p EST Monday through Friday.

Pay Information
There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the pay rate is $35 - 42/hr (subject to change).
