What the posting says

This is a remote position.

Join one of the Philippines' fastest-growing tech companies! Open to Philippine-based candidates only.

About Us

Full Scale is a fully remote-first company that helps businesses build dedicated teams of skilled software engineers. We make it easier for growing companies to find, onboard, and retain high-performing software talent.

The Role

As a QA Engineer, you will help ensure our client's applications remain fast, stable, and reliable under real-world demand. This is a hands-on, hybrid QA role where you will create and execute load and performance tests across web, mobile, and API applications, analyze results, and work with development and infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks.

Load testing is an important part of this role, but it will not be your only responsibility. Testing activities run in cycles, with some weeks requiring load testing once or twice and major events potentially requiring continuous testing for around three weeks. When load testing is paused, including during periods when NeoLoad credits are unavailable, you will support the team with manual testing and some automation testing.

We're looking for someone with practical load-testing knowledge who is flexible, analytical, and comfortable handling other QA responsibilities between performance testing cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Test Scripting: Create, maintain, and execute performance test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications using NeoLoad, JMeter, or similar tools.

Test Execution: Plan and run load, stress, and performance tests, monitoring application behavior during execution.

Results Analysis: Analyze response times, throughput, and error rates to identify performance bottlenecks and potential causes.

Monitoring and Observability: Use monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Splunk to help investigate application and infrastructure performance.

Reporting and Communication: Prepare clear test reports, document findings, and communicate results to the team.

Cross-Team Troubleshooting: Work with development and infrastructure teams to investigate performance issues and support troubleshooting.

Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases across web and mobile applications when load testing is not active.

Automation Testing: Assist with automation testing as needed between performance testing cycles.

Flexible QA Support: Adapt to changing testing priorities and support other QA activities during periods when load testing is paused.

Requirements

Ideally, 1–3 years of hands-on experience in load and performance testing. Candidates with 5–6+ years of experience are also welcome.

Hands-on experience with NeoLoad is strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of load, stress, and performance testing concepts.

Experience testing web, mobile, and API applications.

Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and SQL.

Ability to execute performance tests, analyze results, and identify performance bottlenecks.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Splunk.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Willingness to perform manual and some automation testing when load testing is not active.

Comfortable working in a hybrid QA role where load testing is not a full-time, daily responsibility.

Scripting experience in JavaScript, Python, or Groovy is a plus.

Benefits

100% remote work setup

Work from anywhere in the Philippines

Hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale applications and performance testing tools

Opportunity to work with NeoLoad, JMeter, and other performance monitoring tools

Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams

Opportunity to broaden QA skills through performance, manual, and automation testing
