Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst 3 will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting quality assurance activities across healthcare-related IT applications and projects. The role will develop and maintain manual and automated test cases, perform functional, integration, regression, connectivity, performance, and automation testing, and support User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with business stakeholders. The successful candidate will review project and release requirements, conduct gap analysis, identify and track defects, prepare testing and defect reports, and ensure applications meet defined quality, security, privacy, and government IT standards. The role will also involve performance testing, database and SQL validation, collaboration with project and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle, participation in quality review and status meetings, development of user documentation and procedures, and supporting training and knowledge transfer for other QA resources.
Requirements
10+ years of QA and software testing experience
Functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing
10+ years of QA and system testing methodologies and best practices
8+ years of experience with data confidentiality, client privacy, database and application security
Advanced SQL experience in a QA environment
Performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
Automation testing using SOAPUI or similar tools
Experience with HP Quality Center, HP WebInspect, or similar QA tools
User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case/script execution, defect reporting, and resolution tracking
QA frameworks and Waterfall, Water Scrum, and Agile methodologies
Database upgrades and database comparison tools such as SQL Data Examiner
Experience with Provincial Healthcare and Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications in a Canadian context
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams, business users, and QA teams
Experience developing test cases, defect reports, testing documentation, and QA deliverables
Experience performing requirements review and gap analysis
Ability to support knowledge transfer and train other QA resources
