Reconciliations Clerk

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Reconciliations Clerk for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

Remote Recruitment places South African talent with UK employers, and this is a full-time, 100% remote position working UK business hours. In this role, you will own bank and supplier reconciliations so a UK finance team can trust its numbers. You will join a friendly team, work with clear processes, and have the support you need to do your best work from home.

Key responsibilities

Reconcile bank accounts to the ledger daily or weekly

Match payments to invoices and investigate differences

Prepare supplier statement reconciliations

Post adjusting entries for approval

Keep a clear log of open reconciling items

What you'll need

Experience with bank or ledger reconciliations, with examples of clearing variances

Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage

Strong Excel skills

A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet and a quiet workspace

Availability for 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)

Nice to have

Experience with multi-currency accounts

Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc

Experience with month-end checklists
