What the posting says

WHAT WE NEED

Hazelcast is looking for a Regional Sales Director (RSD) who will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan that maximizes Hazelcast’s revenue and growth across APAC, with India as its primary geography. The Regional Sales Director will follow Hazelcast’s sales methodology, processes, account development, territory management, and prospecting techniques to drive revenue and increase Hazelcast’s market share. Collaborate with the Hazelcast sales team, the Business Development team, and the Marketing team to execute a well-orchestrated territory plan and to drive sales results in the territory.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Meet and exceed assigned annual sales quotas derived entirely from new customer acquisition, maintaining accurate CRM discipline, tagging, and quarterly forecasting

Build territory plans and map large enterprise environments operating complex, non-native database, caching, and stream-processing workloads

Articulate Hazelcast’s value proposition around total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction, latency improvement, and capacity creation under constrained hardware supply

Orchestrate workload-discovery workshops, architecture assessments, proofs of value (POVs), and commercial business cases utilizing Hazelcast's proprietary migration tools

Execute competitive campaigns to reframe customer decisions around platform outcomes

Drive strategic landings by establishing multi-workload dependencies, executive-level relationships, and seamless transitions to Customer Success teams

Collaborate with dedicated platform partners, channel partners, cloud providers, and systems integrators to multiply market reach and drive joint pursuits

WHAT YOU HAVE

Significant, proven experience selling enterprise software, data infrastructure, middleware, databases, or event-streaming platforms to large enterprises

A track record of meeting or exceeding new-business sales quotas as an individual contributor

Demonstrated expertise in new-logo acquisition, executive prospecting, and leading complex, competitive sales cycles

Technical fluency across in-memory data grids, distributed caching, stream processing, high availability/resilience, and modern cloud/hybrid architectures

Entrepreneurial mindset with strong territory planning, forecasting discipline, and cross-functional leadership skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science or related discipline)
