About Volta

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About The Role

Volta is building AI-ready data centre infrastructure across the UK, Norway, Germany, Spain and the US, and is preparing for a US public listing as a foreign private issuer following a Series A led by a16z and Altimeter. Getting our external reporting infrastructure ready - US GAAP financial statements, SEC-standard disclosures and input to the supporting close processes - is one of the finance function's defining projects over the next 12 to 16 months.

As SEC Reporting Manager you will build and run the external reporting process: preparing US GAAP consolidated financial statements and footnotes, drafting disclosures to SEC standard, and constructing the supporting evidence and tie-out discipline expected of a registrant. You will work directly with the Director of Technical Accounting and the VP Accounting and be central to the F-1 preparation and the first audited financial statements.

This is a build role, not a maintain role - you will create the reporting calendar, the disclosure checklists and the tie-out packs from scratch and see them through a first-year Big Four audit into a live registration statement.

What You Will Be Doing

Prepare US GAAP consolidated financial statements, including full footnote disclosures, for audit and ultimately SEC filing

Build and maintain the disclosure checklist and reporting calendar across annual and interim cycles

Draft SEC-standard disclosures (F-1/20-F sections, MD&A support) working with the Director of Technical Accounting and the VP of Accounting, as well as the wider team

Own the tie-out process: every number in the statements agreed to support, referenced and reviewable

Manage the consolidation and FX translation (ASC 830) mechanics feeding the statements

Coordinate audit deliverables and respond to auditor requests through fieldwork and completion

Prepare statutory bridge outputs for UK filing requirements alongside the US GAAP statements

Implement reporting tools (disclosure management/XBRL readiness) as the function matures

Support quarterly reporting design ahead of public-company cadence

What You Bring

Qualified accountant (ACA/CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years' experience including financial statement preparation under US GAAP

Hands-on experience drafting or auditing SEC filings (10-K, 20-F, F-1/S-1) - registrant or Big Four

Strong command of US GAAP disclosure requirements and consolidation, including foreign currency translation

Meticulous tie-out and documentation discipline

Experience working with external auditors through year-end reporting cycles

Ability to build processes from scratch rather than operate established ones

IPO-readiness, foreign private issuer or first-time-adoption experience an advantage

Comfort with deadline pressure and shifting priorities in a pre-IPO environment
