Key responsibilities

In this role, you your main task is to implement and execute the local Motion strategy in the field HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration). You are responsible for the support and targeted processing of planning and engineering offices, and especially end customer companies.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area for Germany. Main stakeholders are our potential customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Market development in the areas of data centers, district heating, and industrial heat pump applications

Conducting technical and commercial negotiations with customers as well as identifying and supporting existing and new customers at the municipal and industrial level

Focusing on acquiring new customers with a high proportion of cold calling activities

Providing technical advice, product pre-qualification, and training to planners, engineering offices, system integrators, and end customers

Preparing and evaluating customer, market, and competitive information for short- and long- term planning decisions in coordination with local management

Collaborating with other ABB business units and local sales units to increase and sustainably develop the market and identify customer projects early

Association work with established local associations, as well as organizing, conducting, and participating in specialist conferences, product presentations, regional trade fairs, marketing activities, training activities, and exhibitions

Cooperation with local and local PM Team for Product Development as well as cooperation with the local segment team and reporting

Qualifications for the role

Completed technician/master's degree or technical studies in the field of electrical engineering, electric drive technology, or heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration

Several years of professional experience in field sales, particularly in cold calling and the sale of technically complex products

Good knowledge in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigerating industry

Experience in the strategic development of customer relationships and responsibility for revenue, margin, and customer growth

Familiar with communication and networking on social networks

Experience in organizing trade show appearances/customer events with a product focus

Fluent in German, both written and spoken, and a good leven of English

High wilingness to travel nationally for customer visits and fairs
