Team mission

The FP&A team’s mission is to be a trusted business partner with a seat at the table to enable the business to make the right decisions through financial insight in a timely manner to achieve our company objectives. We lead the planning process, shape the strategy, and provide management guidance on all key financial decisions.

Based in the Berlin headquarters and reporting to the Head of Marketing FP&A you will work closely with the Marketing, Finance, and Analytics teams to drive timely and effective decision making. You will be analytically minded with a focus on results providing leadership with clear, concise recommendations that are critical to the company and its success!

Your mission

Structure ambiguous problems. Break open questions into testable parts, form a hypothesis, pull the data to prove or disprove it, and land on a recommendation. Work backwards from the decision leadership needs to make.

Proactively surface insights and recommendations that steer marketing investment decisions and accelerate growth.

Own the analysis end to end. Define, build, and maintain the financial and operational reporting for your marketing channels, then dive deep to find the drivers behind every material variance.

Build investment business cases. Size the opportunity, define the trade-off criteria, and quantify the return so marketing leads and finance can decide with confidence.

Contribute to strategy. Prepare the analysis behind trading reviews, QBRs, and planning cycles, and take ownership of specific strategic questions across the marketing portfolio.

Simplify for leadership. Turn complex analysis into concise, written recommendations that a non-finance reader can follow and act on.

Your toolkit

3+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, business analytics, strategy, or another data-heavy commercial role within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment

Strong SQL: you can independently write and debug non-trivial queries against a data warehouse

Working knowledge of data warehouse structure sufficient to sanity-check your own numbers

A demonstrated habit of turning ambiguous questions into a hypothesis, a query, and a recommendation, not just a report

Experience using BI tools (e.g. Tableau) to build dashboards and reporting, not just consume them

AI first mindset, a key driver in delivering on change and leveraging tools to accelerate performance

Analytically minded, using data coupled with sound business judgement to influence business decisions

Strong communication and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into recommendations to leadership

Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity offering a strategic perspective

High energy and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment with the ability to take the initiative and drive work

Excellent Systems, Google Suite, MS Office & Financial Modelling skills, experience with an ERP or CPM system such as OneStream is advantageous

Strong communication skills in English
