What the posting says
We're looking for someone to own Human Understanding & Adaptive Collaboration as one of wingmaite's four foundational product disciplines. This isn't a traditional product role, you won't simply manage features or execute roadmaps. You'll define how wingmaite understands humans and collaborates with them, building the discipline through which experts externalize knowledge that only they currently hold.
Tasks
What you'll do
Enterprise Knowledge Elicitation: Define how wingmaite interviews experts, asks follow-up questions, reconstructs decisions and surfaces tacit knowledge
Adaptive Collaboration: Decide when the system should ask, explain, interrupt, remind, wait, or deliberately not infer
Collaboration Conditions: Model the situation, not the person: authority, expertise, timing, necessary friction
Human Understanding Integrity: Establish what the product may legitimately learn about a person in context, and what it must deliberately leave unmodeled
Challenge the CPO, CTO and Engineers on questions inside your pillar as one of four intellectual owners at the company
Turn deep thinking into product behavior that's measurable and useful
Build toward a small team, starting as a strong individual contributor
What this role is explicitly not
HR tech. Employee analytics. Performance management. Personality profiling. Engagement optimization. Prompt engineering. Traditional UX research. wingmaite models conditions, not characteristics. No scoring people, no manipulating behavior, no inferring personality, no replacing human judgment.
Requirements
Must-haves
Background in AI product, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, knowledge engineering, learning sciences, human factors, behavioral design, or enterprise software
Exceptional product judgment and experimental thinking
Think in situations, decisions, authority, expertise, and conditions, not fixed user traits
Real ethical restraint: You know when a system should not infer something, even if it could
Ability to turn deep thinking into measurable product behavior
Fluent English (C1–C2)
Nice-to-haves
Experience building early-stage products or working in startup environments
Prior work with technical or expert users
Familiarity with enterprise software contexts
Hands-on mindset and technical skills that help you prepare prototypes and realize smaller features on your own
Who you are
You start with the decision someone's facing, their authority and expertise, not their personality traits
You can hold complex thinking and translate it into clear product decisions
You have real restraint about what systems should and shouldn't do
You take full responsibility for your discipline and its outcomes
You work closely with leadership, engineering, and customers to shape the product
You thrive on creating new disciplines, not executing existing ones
Benefits
What We Offer
Flexible remote setup
Learning & development opportunities
Generous vacation & workation budget
The opportunity to define one of four foundational product disciplines at wingmaite
How to Apply
Send your CV and a brief cover letter explaining how you think about this question:
How must wingmaite understand a human and work with them so the collaboration is effective, appropriate, and legitimate?
Optional: include examples of product work!
