What the posting says

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Anduril is seeking a Senior Supply Planner to join our team in Sydney, Australia. The Supply Chain team is responsible for planning and sourcing of materials to support rapidly iterating and building of cutting-edge defense hardware for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). You will have responsibility spanning the entire value chain from raw materials through finished goods and contributing to the strategic supply network development of Anduril’s product hardware, across their life cycles. You will have full ownership of certain assemblies and product lines, and will be ultimately responsible for sending the correct signals to Purchasing and Manufacturing on what and when to buy or build.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to accelerate product development via activities such as:

build bottom-up cost models, using supplier data and manufacturing insight to benchmark pricing and identify cost drivers

rapidly align on build requirements, constraints, and feasibility against schedule

Perform impact assessment on build schedule when change reviews are proposed and implemented

Own and maintain the line of balance (LOB) for assigned programs, ensuring material availability is synchronised to the master build schedule. You'll be the connective tissue between procurement, production, and engineering — translating build requirements into actionable supply plans and driving resolution when gaps threaten schedule

Drive and support clear-to-build (CTB) reviews ahead of each build phase, confirming all materials, long-lead items, and supplier deliverables are on hand or on track

Collaborate with procurement to expedite, re-sequence, or source alternatives when supply risks emerge, escalating early with data-backed recommendations

Track and report schedule adherence metrics (OTD, CTB pass rate, LOB health) and drive root cause analysis on misses.

Maintain MRP/ERP system accuracy — planned orders, lead times, safety stock parameters, and demand signals aligned to current program baselines.

Support all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle

Support new product introduction (NPI) builds by developing initial supply plans from early-stage BOMs and engineering change orders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally has background within:

7+ years in supply planning, production planning, or materials management within a complex hardware manufacturing environment, preferably defence or aerospace.

Demonstrated experience managing line of balance and clear-to-build processes across multi-level BOMs with long-lead and constrained materials.

Track record of maintaining build schedule adherence in a rate production or NPI environment.Design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices

Advanced supply planning experience, including stints in production planning, materials management, or master scheduling roles

Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment

Prior knowledge of Oracle or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM, or an advanced degree, are strongly preferred

Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 security clearance (NV2)

Soft Skills and Leadership:

Strong communication skills — ability to present material risk and recovery plans to program managers and senior leadership with clarity and confidence.

Comfort operating in ambiguity, particularly during early-stage programs where BOMs are evolving and requirements are fluid.

Collaborative mindset with a bias for action — someone who chases answers rather than waiting for them.
