Main requirements

About the role

They're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who’s ready to contribute at both the strategic and execution levels.

You should have a sharp eye for design, a strong grasp of complex systems, and a track record of applying it to demanding production systems.

You will join a team of Backend and Systems engineers in charge of infrastructure, core services , data pipelines, and observability platform.

Within the team, you will help deliver production-grade services with demanding requirements in terms of performance and cost-effectiveness, including important aspects like documentation, tests or APM metrics.

You will not take anything for granted and raise your hand when something doesn’t seem right or can be done in a better, more effective way.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and evolve their observability tools.

Maintain and evolve their CI/CD processes.

Keep their platform scalable and maintainable, matching their ever increasing load.

Help them construct a SRE culture within the organization by fostering best practices.

Improve the reliability of their systems.

Boost their systems availability, without data loss or user impact.

Requirements:

3+ years experience in software engineering, especially in DevOps and/or SRE.

Knowledge of Gitlab CI.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

Experience with any of the major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.

Familiarity with Observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as Search Engines.

Knowledge of Event Streaming Platforms and Message Queues like Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.

Comfortable with SRE, GitOps and DevOps principles.

Must be a fiscal resident of Portugal (regardless of nationality).

Nice to have

Bonus Points

Experience with test automation or QA frameworks

Experience with DevSecOps tools

Hands-on experience with Terraform

Experience with any API frameworks like Django DRF, Flask or FastAPI, among others.
