As part of one of China's leading banks with over 2,900 branches worldwide, you'll work within a diverse team of around 40 Chinese and German professionals. Our Frankfurt branch is known for its comprehensive financial services, including national and international payment processing, overseas trading, lending, deposit banking, and more. In this role, you'll collaborate with our seven specialized departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize taxation processes. Your expertise will support our mission to facilitate seamless financial interactions across borders, making a significant impact on our operations. Tasks
Option A – Regulatory Reporting
Prepare and submit regulatory and statistical reports in accordance with
German and European banking regulations including reports tot eh relevant
deposit protection scheme.
Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with regulatory deadlines.
Validate and reconcile financial data between banking systems and regulatory
reporting systems.
Monitor developments in CRR, CRD VI and other regulatory requirements
and advise the senior management in this regard.
Support implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements.
Cooperate with the IT team to maintain the requisite reporting systems and
access to reporting platforms from relevant supervisory authorities.
Respond to external and internal audit requests related to regulatory matters.
Liaise with supervisory authorities and external service providers where
required.
Option B –Taxation
Preparation of annual accounts under German GAAP
Prepare tax calculations, tax returns and tax filings under German tax law.
Support corporate tax, trade tax and VAT compliance.
Monitor withholding tax obligations relating to cross-border transactions.
Support transfer pricing documentation.
Assist with implementation of OECD Pillar Two and other present and
upcoming, national and international requirements.
Coordinate tax audits and communicate with tax authorities and external tax
advisers.
Respond to external and internal audit requests related to accounting and tax
matters.
Requirements
Candidates are expected to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent certification.
A professional accounting or tax qualification is considered advantageous.
Relevant professional experience in banking, finance, or auditing sectors.
For Regulatory Reporting: A strong understanding of CRR, CRD, KWG, and regulatory reporting requirements.
For German Taxation: Comprehensive knowledge of German corporate taxation and international taxation principles.
Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Excellent command of the English language.
Proficiency in German.
