What the posting says

Category-defining tech. Career-defining work.

The next era of software won’t operate at human scale. Applications will create applications. Systems will coordinate with systems. Data and decisions will move faster than teams can react to them. The infrastructure powering that world cannot be fragile, reactive, or limited by the assumptions of the past.

Cockroach Labs exists to build what comes next — before the world requires it.

We created CockroachDB to survive failures, scale without compromise, and adapt to changing conditions automatically. Now we’re helping define a future where complexity fades into the background and infrastructure simply works, no matter the scale.

This is the kind of challenge that attracts people who want to shape industries, not just participate in them. The work is ambitious, the standards are high, and the impact is real.

The Role

We're hiring a Senior Partner Marketing Manager to own and amplify the go-to-market motion across CockroachDB's partner and ISV ecosystem. We're looking for someone with strong partner marketing experience, enough technical fluency to speak credibly about what we build, and a track record of turning partnerships into structured, measurable programs that drive awareness and pipeline.

You'll work closely with partner engineering, alliances, and product marketing to build co-marketing campaigns, partner launch playbooks, and joint GTM programs that strengthen CockroachDB's position across cloud, AI, and ISV ecosystems.

You must be based in New York City to be eligible for this role, and will be expected to go into our office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You Will

Own the Partner Marketing Narrative and GTM Motion

Lead go-to-market planning and execution for strategic technology partners across cloud, AI, and ISV ecosystems

Build co-marketing campaigns, partner launch playbooks, and joint programs that drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline

Translate integrations and engineering work into clear, compelling narratives for technical buyers and partner audiences

Align partner launches and content with the broader integration roadmap and company positioning

Track performance and continuously refine programs based on engagement, awareness, and business impact

Bring Technical Fluency to the Partner Motion

Develop a working understanding of CockroachDB's technical value and how it fits within partner ecosystems

Create partner content, co-marketing assets, and program materials that resonate with technically informed audiences

Collaborate closely with partner engineering and product marketing to stay current on integrations and roadmap priorities

Show up credibly in partner conversations, webinars, and co-marketing initiatives without needing to be the deepest technical voice in the room

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

Partner with alliances, product marketing, and demand gen to build joint programs that scale

Serve as the connective tissue between partner relationships and internal marketing execution

Help the partner team see marketing as a force multiplier by showing up proactively, not reactively

The Expectations

In your first 30 days, you'll meet the partner team, audit existing partner content and co-marketing agreements, and map the current integration landscape. You'll also build relationships with corporate marketing, product marketing, and demand gen.

By 60 days, you'll have published your first partner content, launched or planned a co-marketing activation with a priority ISV partner, and established a content and program calendar tied to the integration roadmap.

By 90 days, you'll have a repeatable go-to-market playbook for new partner integrations, active co-marketing programs running with at least two ISV partners, and measurable partner content contributing to awareness and pipeline.

You Have

5+ years of experience in partner marketing, alliance marketing, or ecosystem marketing in a B2B technology company

A track record of building and executing co-marketing programs, partner launches, and joint GTM motions that drive pipeline

Experience working across partner, PMM, and demand gen teams to align on shared goals and execution

Enough technical fluency to hold credible conversations about cloud, infrastructure, APIs, or data products

Ability to plan and execute webinars, virtual programs, and partner activations independently

Strong written communication skills and an instinct for what resonates with technical and business audiences

A self-starter mentality

Nice to Have

Experience marketing within developer or technical ecosystems

Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, or cloud-native infrastructure

Background in AI/ML ecosystem partnerships or ISV marketing

Experience with dev rel or community-building programs

Success in this Role

Every major partner integration has a go-to-market plan and supporting content before or at launch

Co-marketing programs with priority ISV partners are running, measurable, and contributing to pipeline

CockroachDB is visible and well-positioned within AI and cloud ISV ecosystems

The partner engineering and alliances teams see marketing as a force multiplier, not a request queue
