Staff Engineer, ServiceNow (ITSM & Scripting)

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience - 5.5+ years

Strong experience in ServiceNow ITSM implementation, customization, and development

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications

Strong ServiceNow development experience using JavaScript and Glide APIs

Experience in developing custom scoped applications using App Engine

Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Update Sets, and Scoped Applications

Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, Integration Hub, and MID Server

Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM processes and best practices

Experience with Service Portal; exposure to UI Builder will be an added advantage

Experience in designing scalable and reusable ServiceNow solutions for enterprise environments

Exposure to CSM or other ServiceNow modules is preferred

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to mentor junior developers and work in an Agile delivery environment

CSA certification along with any two ServiceNow Mainline Certifications is mandatory

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and customer requirements

Configure and customize ServiceNow ITSM applications and related platform capabilities

Develop custom applications, workflows, Flow Designer flows, and automation solutions

Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, Integration Hub, and MID Server

Implement and maintain ACLs, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications

Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable ServiceNow components following platform best practices

Participate in solution architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and governance guidelines

Mentor and support junior developers to enhance team capabilities

Support ServiceNow upgrades and ensure application compatibility across releases

Troubleshoot production issues and optimize platform performance and stability

Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, demos, and retrospectives

Drive continuous improvements and ensure successful delivery of ServiceNow projects

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
