Position: Computational Genomics, Statistical Bioinformatics Expert (PhD)

Type:Contract

Compensation:$120/hour

Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in computational genomics, quantitative biology, and translational biomedicine.

Independently inspect datasets, perform quality control, and execute analyses in R and Python.

Navigate ambiguous research workflows by identifying key analytical decisions and potential confounders.

Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.

Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions and conclusions.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and AI research specialists.

Qualifications

Must-Have

PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, quantitative biology, biostatistics, genomics, or related field.

Deep experience analyzing biological or biomedical data, especially genomics and related omics datasets.

Professional fluency in R and Python.

Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design.

Experience with multi-step computational research workflows.

Clear scientific writing and documentation skills.

Preferred

Familiarity with reproducible research practices, including notebooks, scripts, and version control.
