Position: STEM Researcher — Computational Fields

Type:Contract

Compensation:$60–$90/hour

Location:Remote

Commitment:35 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Design complex, multi-step tasks using research skills like experimental design, hypothesis testing, and evaluation.

Author solutions in Python and notebooks, ensuring high rigor and accuracy.

Define criteria for sound scientific reasoning to distinguish it from superficial reasoning.

Evaluate model attempts and identify mistakes a working researcher would catch.

Collaborate with researchers and experts to maintain consistent and accurate evaluations.

Qualifications

Must-Have

MSc or PhD in a STEM field or computational social-science or humanities discipline.

1+ years of experience in an active research role.

Significant computational work involving Python-based analysis.

Strong grounding in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and evaluation.

Familiarity with Git, IDEs, and notebook environments like Jupyter or Colab.

Preferred

Experience in AI training, model evaluation, or benchmark/task authoring.
