This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.
As a User Research Intern, you'll join our User Research team to help researchers, designers, and product managers understand user needs across products like Coinbase Cloud and developer tools. You'll tackle complex product problems, craft research reports that drive design and product decisions, and build foundational skills in UX research at scale.
What you'll do:
Own one or more research projects alongside researchers, designers, and product managers to investigate a product problem or area
Plan and execute research to solve complex, ambiguous product questions using appropriate methodologies
Deliver research reports that clearly communicate findings and provide actionable design and product recommendations
Partner with cross-functional teammates to translate user insights into thoughtful product experiences that help people engage with the crypto economy
Required Skills and Experience:
Actively pursuing a career in user research through a degree in a research-related field, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of general research principles (experimental design, bias, confounds) and UX research principles (usability testing, design thinking)
Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly, supported by a final report from a past research project (school, bootcamp, or extracurricular) uploaded with your application
Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and Coinbase's role in the crypto economy, with interest in learning more
Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Hourly Rate:
$60—$60 USD
